Nick Opie - Sales Manager

Nick, along with Bryan Holst, started Marengo Auto Group in 1996. Aside from being an owner, Nick runs the sales department at Marengo Auto Group. He brings over forty years of experience in the automotive industry with him and has been a resident of Marengo for nearly 40 years. In his spare time, Nick enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time with his wife, Jodie, and their two dogs: Cody and Anchor. He has two children, Nicholas and Adrianna, and enjoys working with his son and the rest of the team here at Marengo Auto Group.      
    

Bryan Holst - Service Manager

Bryan, along with Nick Opie, started Marengo Auto Group in 1996. Aside from being an owner, Bryan runs the service department at Marengo Auto Group. Bryan has over thirty years of experience in the automotive industry with him and has been a resident of Marengo for nearly 30 years. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife, Meghan, and their three kids: Cameron, Josh, and Ben. Bryan is also an avid golfer and has been in a number of different leagues over the years.  
    

Nicholas Opie - Controller

Nicholas runs the office here at Marengo Auto Group. Nicholas has been at Marengo Auto Group his whole life and brings over ten years of experience in the automotive industry with him. Nicholas resides in Chicago, but was born and raised in Marengo and has been married to his wife Negin for 2 years. Nicholas and Negin love traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with their spoiled French Bulldog Lilly. 

Jerry Doane - Salesman

Jerry is a salesman here at Marengo Auto Group. Jerry started at Marengo Auto Group in June of 2020 and brings over ten years of sales experience in the automotive industry with him. Jerry has been a lifelong resident of Marengo and has been married to his wife Geri for 18 years. Jerry and Geri are now empty nesters having raised 2 adult daughters. In their free time they love spending time with their family especially their annual fishing trips to Wisconsin where they have over 30 people make the trip each year.

Joe Stoddard - Salesman

Joe is a salesman here at Marengo Auto Group. Joe started at Marengo Auto Group in May of 2024 and brings over seven years of sales experience in the automotive industry with him. Joe has been a resident of Marengo for over 20 years and has been married to his wife Alisha for 22 years. Joe and Alisha love camping and playing games with friends. Joe is also an avid pool player and has been in a number of different leagues over the years.

Glen Larson - Master Technician

Glen is a the head master technician here at Marengo Auto Group. Glen started at Marengo Auto Group in 1996 when the dealership opened and brings over forty five years of automotive technician experience with him. Glen has been a resident of Marengo for over 30 years and has been married to his wife Laurie for 35 years. Glen and Laurie have big family with 5 kids, 12 grand kids, and 1 great grand son. In their free time they love spending time with their large family and hosting parties to get everyone together. Glen also enjoys coaching youth sports including baseball, football, and wrestling.

Garrett Sprecher - Technician

Garrett is a master technician here at Marengo Auto Group. He started at Marengo Auto Group in November of 2020 and brings over thirteen years of automotive technician experience with him. Garrett has been a resident of Boone county for over 20 years and is the oldest of 4 siblings. He loves golfing and bowling and has rolled numerous 300 pin games. 

Jack St. Clair - Technician

Jack is a technician here at Marengo Auto Group. He started at Marengo Auto Group in July of 2024 and brings a 2 year automotive degree from McHenry County College with him. Jack has been a resident of Marengo for over 10 years and has 2 older sisters. He loves motorcycles and drives his bike around as long as the weather allows. Jack also enjoys music in particular the drums that he plays, golfing on the weekends, hanging out with friends and snowmobiling and snowboarding in the winter. 

Jim Johnson - Porter/Tow Truck Driver

Jim is not only a porter at Marengo Auto Group, but he is also the tow truck driver. He started at Marengo Auto Group in March of 2001 and has all his time in the industry with Marengo Auto Group. Jim has been a resident of Belvidere for over 25 years. When he is not busy towing vehicles, Jim enjoys cycling and has done RAGBRAI in Iowa a multitude of times.

Richard Schinske - Driver

Richard is a the head driver here at Marengo Auto Group. Richard started at Marengo Auto Group in 2008 after retiring from Warner Electric in Marengo. Richard has been a lifelong resident of Marengo and was married for over 50 years to his late wife Lynn. Richard has 1 son and 2 grandchildren that he greatly enjoys spending time with. In his free time Richard enjoys hunting, fishing, car shows with his stunning Chevelle show car, and watching all types of sporting events.
